Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban Conducts Awareness and Registration Camps at Tatarsoo and Khari

Ramban, August 30: Labour Department Ramban under the supervision of Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Ramban, Amit Kumar, conducted two Awareness Cum Registration Camps.

The first was organized at Panchayat Maitra Govindpora in village Tatarsoo where Construction workers were sensitized about the various Labour laws viz Payment of wages Act, Employees Compensation Act, Child Labour Act, Contract Labour Act, JKBOCWW Act besides the various Welfare Schemes of JKBOCWWB and Social Welfare Schmes like E shram, PMSYM, PMJJBY, PMSBY, Construction Workers Cess Act, 1996.

ALC Ramban explained the process of Registration of Construction Worker under JKBOCWW Act, and other schemes.

Another awareness camp was held at Khari where Officials of the Labour Department conducted a session to sentized the attendees. IEC materials like Pamphlets were also distributed among the workers.

Construction Worker raised various queries which were discussed and resolved in the camp. About 25 numbers of new registrations were approved in the camps who have already applied for the Labour Card and renewals of labour cards were also done on the spot.

ALC Ramban said that such camps shall be conducted continuously in the District to increase the registration of leftout Construction Workers.
