On Friday, PM Modi engaged in a series of high-level meetings, including discussions with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. This meeting with President Putin marks the second encounter between the two leaders this year, following their discussions during the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Bishkek in August. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), both leaders focused on reviewing their bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors. These include politics, defense, energy, trade, and cultural exchanges.
Discussions also highlighted India’s leadership role in BRICS and its engagement within international multilateral frameworks.
